What is Love Elgin Day? An outreach simply to bless those in need of physical resources and spiritual encouragement. Churches work together across denominational lines to express the love of God in as many tangible ways as we can!

Launched in 2012, this fun-filled, freebie-filled, faith-filled event is always held on the last Saturday of April and last Saturday of September.

Total number of people served at each LED: 1,500 to 3,000. That’s a lot of hot dogs and haircuts! Our bike repair guys have fixed as many as 60 bicycles in one day; our car maintenance team, perhaps two or three dozen cars. We can’t even begin to count how many boxes of groceries and bagfuls of clothing go home from Love Elgin Day. And, just like the grace of God for every one of us, all of it is free!

Pastor Jeorge Holmes, a native of Elgin, birthed this ministry and continues to serve as lead coordinator. LED operates under the umbrella of Touched Twice United, a 501(c)(3) organization in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

“May Your Kingdom come; may Your will be done [in Elgin] as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10
